The Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Building Credits Toward Your OSSD
The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is Ontario's high school credential, earned by accumulating course credits across Grades 9 to 12. SCITS Online is an Ontario private school offering Ministry-inspected OSSD credit courses for Grades 9 through 12, delivered entirely online and taught by Ontario Certified Teachers (OCTs). Each course follows the Ontario curriculum for its subject and grade level.
Course codes follow Ontario's standard convention — for example, ENG4U denotes Grade 12, University-stream English. The final letter identifies the course's destination stream.

How Online Learning Works
Flexible, Teacher-Supported, Fully Online
Every SCITS Online course is built around the realities of learning from wherever a student happens to be — clear structure, real teacher feedback, and a pace that adapts to life outside the classroom.
- Flexible, asynchronous pacing. Coursework is delivered asynchronously, so students work through material on a schedule that fits their life rather than a fixed class time.
- Marked by Ontario Certified Teachers. An OCT reviews and marks your coursework and provides feedback as you progress through each course.
- One online learning platform. All coursework is accessed and completed through our online learning platform, from any internet-connected device.
